BBC Documentary showing how Prince – the showman, artist and enigma – revolutionised the perception of black music in the 1980s with worldwide hits such as 1999, Kiss, Raspberry Beret and Alphabet Street.

He became a global sensation with the release of the Oscar-winning, semi-autobiographical movie Purple Rain in 1984, embarking on an incredible journey of musical self-discovery that continues to this day.

His impressive array of songs includes some of the most iconic sounds of the 80’s and 90’s – “When Doves Cry” (1984), “Kiss” (1986), “Cream” (1991), “Raspberry Beret” (1985), “Purple Rain” (1984),” The Most Beautiful Girl in the World” (1994), “Sign ‘O’ the Times” (1987), “Little Red Corvette” (1983), “7” (1993), “Alphabet St.” (1998) and “1999” (1983).

PRINCE has left music fans around the world stunned on April 21th 2016, after passing away aged 57.
